Clevo: Desktop CPU, more M.2 slots and capable of PCI-E raid with no optimus.
MSI: Some more battery as optimus is always on for the internal display. -

Both of these superior 15 inch models start at $1666 and have exactly the same model FHD IPS screen for the base configuration with G-Sync support as an option. Both offer a 330W AC adapter option if you are interested in overclocking to maximize your experience.
So, if 15 inch is your sweet spot, then I think you owe it to yourself to take a very serious look at both of these options:
Eurocom Sky X4E2 is based on a Clevo P750DMG-2. It offers a few features that the F5 mentioned below does not have, plus the capacity for one more 2.5 inch HDD (2 x M.2 and 2 x 2.5 inch HDD) bay. It supports 6700K and 1070 with no plans for 1080 support. There are 3 different 4K screen options for this model if you are interested in that. (I do not recommend 4K on a laptop, especially not 15-inch, but some people are convinced that 4K is the way to go.)
Eurocom Tornado F5 is not a Clevo. It has 6700K and supports 1070 with development plans for 1080 and Kaby Lake support. I have not seen one yet, but Eurocom tells me this system is smaller size and weight wise, fans runs much quieter, with a keyboard that is much better. They consider it to be the perfect entry level upgradeable laptop for users looking for a superior performing work/study/gaming machine. This model has caught my interest in particular as an overclocking mini-monsterbook. It seems to have a superior cooling system compared to the Clevo mentioned above.

I have the Eurocom Tornado F5 (MSI 16L13) which is the same exact body/unit as the GT62VR with the exception it has a desktop CPU.. It comes highly recommended by myself and others that own it. It runs QUIET and handles the CPU/GPU temperatures really well. It's also cheaper than the Clevo equivalent by about $100 (or more) when you configure them similarly.
It has an excellent keyboard and speakers. And an unlocked BIOS exists already for it and it's getting better by the day on the community support front.steberg, Papusan, TomJGX and 1 other person like this.
