Is any BIOS/vBIOS modification is needed for this couple?
GPU is without SLi connector, mainboard has hosted earlier 980DT, but togheter they give me only black screen. Fans working, system starts, but screen is black.

I asked him - he has also no idea. I sending card to my colleague - he has GT62VR and can check if the card is not damaged.

post a photo of it just in case. it might be missing a jumper wire (if it's a beta board) or it's just busted.

When you say together they give a black screen please specify what configuration of cards you have tried.

Mam na myśli podwozie P870M + GPU. Teraz używam 980M w P870 i wszystko działa dobrze.

either there's a missing jumper, the bios is bad, or the gpu is busted.

I translated the 980m card is fine so the 1070 is either busted or needs the mod wire or the vbios is bar as thegh0sts was saying.

I talk about my translation fail - my english is so poor, so always after write a post, I put them into translator and check if this can be readable. And this time I pasted polish version instead of corrected english ;)

GPU is on way to my collegue - he can check if card works on GT62 and P170SM-A.

This laptop is unlucky - my 980M dies. Under heavy load (180W+), coils starts squeak and after about one minute screen goes black, power leds start blinking orange and fans spins to maximum speed.

180W for a 980M (not the 980DT) is too much for the GPU so of course it'll die because it doesn't have enough VRMs and power chokes to handle it.

VRM is working - I unsoldered chokes and capacitors and there is no short circuit or any other damage. GPU core don't even starting power on sequence.
