I bought an M571RU laptop from Eurocom a month ago, since I've had it it has gone back to Eurocom 3 times for LCD screen issues and has still not been properly resolved. I originally ordered a 1440x900 screen which ended up being model #(LPL0000), when I got it, the picture looked distorted pastel-ish and sparkely/grainy. This was not the average LCD grain it was the weird grain caused by an anti-glare filter pattern. I was under the impression that I had ordered a "glossy screen" there was no mention in the online drop down menu that these were anti-glare glossy screens.

So I sent my first one back as it was causing discomfort to my eyes when reading text for average periods of time. When I sent it back I was clear to tech support what my issue was and that I needed a screen "sans anti-glare". They told me they did not see what I was referring to, it sounded as if they never heard of an anti-glare glossy screen before and it sounded like they don't actually look at the screens they put in.

I tried to describe it, they still maintained they did not understand what I was talking about, but said they would replace the screen with a new one. There was an issue with this at Eurocom in which they ended up sending me the same screen I sent to begin with. I sent it back again this time they did change it for another 1440x900 of the same model LG Philips (LPL0000). I received it and it had the same anti-glare filter the first glossy screen they sent me had. It's quite obvious these model screens are all anti-glare glossy.

I was mad sent the screen back talked to their support, they assured me that their screens are the same BUT if I paid an extra 95 dollars they would swap out the anti-glare fated glossy 1440x900 screens for a screen they assured me would have no problems in a 1680x1050 resolution as they truly believed it was resolution related when I told them since the first screen it wasn't.

So I sent it in paid the extra cash in wishful thinking hoping this time they would just send me a normal glossy screen without the anti-glare filter but as I suspected it again has this grotesque anti-glare filter on it it's model# is (LPL1289).

I would just like to know if anyone who has bought from Eurocom has this same problem with their screen, and if you were able to have the screen properly switched out to a normal glossy screen and if yours came with a normal glossy screen what model# is the screen you have, It seems aside from getting a full refund I will need to drive down there in person to show them what an anti-glare glossy screen looks like as opposed to a normal non anti-glare glossy screen because they cant seem to differentiate this on their own and It would help if I can provide them with a screen model number seeing as their eyes don't work.

I might be wrong but if they buythe laptop as barebone the screen is already in so they might not have a real choice there. But then again I have no idea what's that anti-glare thing so far I only had the matte screens or the glossy ones (which I hate).I'm guessing that anti-glare would be something on top of the glossy to make it less shiny and look even worst (if that is possible)?

its the glossy finish that actually causes the issue not a filter. lg has had this issue on some other ones as well. i had that issue as well on some of the lg's ive had and seen, samsung had this issue as well on some of the ones used in the dell's. it does seem though from another thread i saw here that the more current sager's as well on the 860 had the same issue. can you send it back for a full refund...?? i would

If I were to get a full refund do you know of any companies that sell the M571RU but without this screen issue?
