When I first got my Clevo, the keyboard was blue and the top was green. My preference is for red on both though.

I somehow managed to get the top light(other side of screen) be permanently red, even when booting up. Survived a CMOS reset too. Does anyone know if that's also possible for the keyboard?

The main reason I ask is because I'm on Linux all the time which does not have the software to change the color.

You would need the Clevo software to alter the keyboard backlights. There's no Linux counterpart of it I'm aware of, but perhaps you could run it in WINE(?).

What exactly is this? Can it apply the colour profile on windows when I'm not using CCC?

It's a kernel module + utility for Linux, not windows.

Have to compile it yourself unfortunately.

Ah bah humbug, I was hoping we could find a way to adjust keyboard backlighting without CCC. It's basically the only thing I consider a "loss" from not running CCC in these new models.
