I am using the paint program to make a custom xoticpc skin for my Sager NP8662. The problem is that I can't fit it in the laptop dimensions while still maintaining the minimum number of pixels. Any ideas on how to increase my number of pixels? I'm kind of a noob at computer art. Also, I don't have photoshop.

IMO, Paint limited tools may not give you the quality you want. Have you tried a program called GIMP?

For a quick solution: make the image any pixel size you want and resize it later. But, remember: if you start now with a higher pixel count, the better it will look later. Don't make a 300x250 image now and resize it later: it'll look pixelated.

Ya. I made it a large pixel size, but then when i resized it, the pixel count went down again.

Just make a big, high res image in the right aspect ratio (shape of the bit of the laptop you want to cover), give it to xotic, and they'll make it the right size to fit.
