Hey guys, I was wondering if you know what two short beeps (BIOS error code) mean. Basically, the notebook makes two short beeps every now and then (every hour or so) regardless of whether I'm playing a game, surfing the web, doing office work etc., however I get no error codes (beeps or on screen) during POST. This happens regardless of whether the notebook is on (with or without the battery) or off charge (on battery). I don't really think it's overheating as the temperature of both the GPU and CPU remains in the low 80s C even when playing games or it's a battery issue, I ran a bunch of memory tests last week and RAM modules seem to be just fine. Reseller recommended BIOS (and EC BIOS) update providing the files and I did that (all went smoothly) a week ago, but it seems the issue has been only partially resolved, the notebook still keeps making these two short beeping sounds (two short beeps in quick succession), although much less frequently (1-2 times an hour before, once every couple of hours now). I'm beginning to think t must be a faulty sensor, but still, any suggestions would be much appreciated :)

If this is only happening when within your OS, try hitting the Pause Break key on your keyboard during POST to stop the system on the splash screen (or you can load the BIOS configuration menu). Leave it there and see if the beep continues. If no beep, then you can surmise that it's more likely software/OS related. If it still does it, then it's very possible it's hardware - or perhaps firmware - related.
