I've only had my computer two weeks, but now my right fan is making a repeating clicking sound as it spins every few seconds.
Like, as it speeds up, it starts clicking, like a bicycle wheel would (a faint "clicklicklicklicklicklicklicklicklicklick"). Then it calms down for a bit, and starts again. It's been fine before this, but now it started doing this again.
First the two faulty screens, and now the fan, am I just unlucky or is it a bigger issue?
The left fan is fine though, even when I am laying on my bed and the laptop base is tilted at a 90 degree angle. The only fan making this noise is the right fan...
Thank god for 3 year warranties at least.. Should I send it in again..?

Try opening it up and check if there's anything in the way of the fan.

I just opened it up, checked the fan, used some pressurized air to blow any dust off, checked it again, and put back the metal brace and bottom panel.
I shook it around (lightly, of course) in both the regular desk position (base/keyboard parallel to desk), as well as the lazy/bed position (Base/keyboard at a 90 degree angle from floor).
It seems to have gone away... but it's not a good sign, especially when I want to keep this laptop for about 3 years or so... -
Sounds like something was just hitting the blades, maybe a rogue cheetoh piece

I'm really thinking of just returning it, it's still under the 30 days...
I've only had it two weeks and I've gone through two bad screens, a fan already acting up, scratches on the screen's frame (top, no idea what happened, the rubber should be protecting it), and random freezing/pausing.
I never had these issues with other computers, no matter how less powerful they were.. I don't get it.
PS: nothing I say here is directed at malibal, but I just think I'm getting worried, like, at this rate, I doubt it will last me the 3 years I want it to.. -
-
I have 3 more days before I need to make up my mind, but if it's already having issues now, I don't want to even think of how long it will last. -
I think those warranty's are 3 years labor and 1 year parts. Sure its a nice gesture for them to help you out after the first year, but I couldn't stand anyone else messing with me puter unless they were a far superior human or at least a better tech.

Did you end up sending the laptop back?
Just wanted to say that I've been running the machine for two days straight now and no fan noise issues like the ones your described above. It's actually very quite and smooth.
Try hitting Fn+1 and have the fans at full blast for an hour or two to see if that fixes the issue.
