I think I'm going to order the X7200, I don't need mobility or battery life and I love the fact it has room to upgrade (getting a single 6990 with hopes to add a second later).

My question is on the screen. There isn't an option for a 120hz, which I would be up for, but is the default good enough? I've seen where the default on the P170HM has been updated to no longer use an inferior LG, but what about the X7200?

    Default - 17.3" 1920 x 1080 FHD LED Backlit Glossy Display

    17.3" 1920 x 1080 FHD LED AUO B173HW01 V.4 90% NTSC Glossy Display
17.3" 1920 x 1080 FHD LED Backlit 90% NTSC Color Gamut Glossy Display

    17.3" 1920 x 1080 FHD LED AUO B173HW01 V.5 72% NTSC Matte Display
    17.3" 1920 x 1080 FHD LED AUO B173HW01 V.5 72% NTSC Matte Display

If you would be up for a 120Hz screen maybe consider waiting for the P270WM. It's discussed in other threads on here and is supposedly coming out around January.

The P270WM seems to be only the 'deskbook' that is coming with the ability to go 3D. Otherwise, you're stuck. Not that the X7200 is not as good, I mean, it's still a monster, but if you want 3D Vision in a 'mobile' desktop platform, then you will need to wait for the P270WM3.

I can't wait until the P270WM comes out, what I really want to know is if the default on the X7200 is good, or if one of the two upgrades is worth the $200.

I would get the screen upgrade if you do some professional stuff. Just make sure it gets calibrated.
