Malibal P150HM and 6990M owners, when should I expect my laptop?

Hi,

I ordered a P150HM with 6990M on 8/11 and I'm trying to get an idea of when I should expect mine to ship out. I know a few of you NBRers who ordered at the beginning of August have already received your laptops, so I'm just wondering if mine is due anytime soon. Main reasons being I'm getting antsy waiting around, and I'm going to be out of town soon and don't want the laptop to be sitting in a box on my doorstep. I'd send them an email asking about it but I'd feel bad bugging them knowing they're already putting in extra hours to get these out. Anyway, I'd really appreciate it if the lucky ones could post when they ordered and received theirs. I know if I had a brand new P150HM I'd rather keep gaming than answer a forum thread

 

I ordered my P170HM on 8/4 and they haven't shipped it out yet. I've been told it should ship sometime tonite, but I'm not holding my breath. I'd rather they take their time and get it right the first time than rush something broken out the door.

I ordered on 8/3 and received my laptop on 9/3, yes it was a long time but it was worth it. Considering I received my laptop is perfect condition, no dead pixels or anything. Also they don't leave the laptop because you have to sign for it, or at least I did. Also don't hesitate to send them a quick email/PM on this forum. I think I sent them probably 20-25 messages in the time I waited and each time they quickly responded incredibly friendly and polite. They have great customer support and I'm pretty sure they don't mind using it. Hope I answered some of your questions.

I just order my P150HM from Malibal!very excited.I was told it would be shipped in a week's time.I wonder why many peeople who ordered theirs a month ago didn't receive them still?Is that wait for new intel CPUS/RADEON 6990?

 

My order arrived in the states on Tuesday, but I just picked it up today. I'm currently installing windows on it though. I head the P170HMs had some additional details to work out before they were shipped.

 

I paid on Aug 5th, got my laptop (finally!) on Sept 9th. UPS messed up and it added another 2 days onto my wait time. The month-long wait is what you get when you pre-order bleeding edge!

Well, not necessarily. I ordered my P150HM on August 25, and it shipped today. I think how long it takes might depend on your specific build, though. Mine is almost entirely stock, except for the 6990m and the 1103 wireless card.

 

Mine is stock except the 6990m card. I still feel like I won't get it for atleast 2 more weeks.

 

With the huge number of orders for the 6990M, I think Malibal could be prone to getting the sequence of people's orders incorrect once in awhile.

 

Got it in my hands. Installing OS now. Lots of finger prints all over it (shame).

Oh, a P170HM? Last week they were on backorder, I have not been following up as to whether that is still the case or not.

I placed the order Sunday September 4, so I couldn't pay til Tuesday (Labor Day). The order was processed September 7 and the email promised 5-7 days for production.

 

Well I placed the order aug 28th. I changed the graphics card from a 6970m to a 6990m sept 3rd so I don't know when I'll receive it.

 

Sounds like they're catching up on the preorders, so those of you who ordered recently shouldn't *too* long to wait

 

Wow this thing is fast as hell. The RAID 0 of the Hybrid drives are very VERY fast... Its much faster than my desktop.
Applications load in a snap.
ATI 6990m displays beautiful colors in game (Burnout Paradise so far)
Didn't have my BFBC2 disk at work (Installing it now) The display is very bright and clear.

 

I installed BF:BC this weekend and it looks awesome, it's the first time playing and sometimes during Online play I just have to stop and look at the scenery because it looks so good lol!

I ordered mine on August 12th and got it yesterday. Great machine, the 6990 is awsome. Malibal did a great job except they goofed and put the wrong hd in instead of the hybdrid i ordered.

 

I received my laptop last Friday. It's a super, super machine.
Malibal were fast, efficient and responsive. When a problem did occur (my first order had heat issues) they replaced the problem laptop with a brand new one at no cost with free overnight air shipping. I know who I'll be ordering my next laptop from

I ordered mine August 31st. Malibal had an issue sending e-mails to me (marked as Junk, showed up late) and upgraded my shipping for me so that I can get it before I head back to university on Sunday. Very friendly customer service, especially if you call!

 

Ordered mine Sept. 6. Hopefully I get it soon.

 

Placed my order on September 4 and it was processed on the 7th after the labor day holiday. Mine is expected to ship a bit later than the usual 5-7 business days. Today I was told by MALIBAL mine would ship this Friday or Monday latest. So excited

 

I ordered on the 3rd and was told the laptop would probably ship next week.

 

Ordered mine from LPC-Digital last Thursday, and it's supposed to arrive today according to UPS

 

I ordered a P170HM with the 6990m. Crossing for my fingers for a quick shipping as I'm left without a "home" computer until it arrives.

 

Ruh oh - there seems to be a mixup with shipping and UPS!

I ordered my PH151HM1 on the 6th of September. Malibal marked it as shipped 2 days ago, but UPS has this:

Woot! Ordered my P170HM with the 6990m (and no other upgrades) and it's shipping out today. I chose "UPS Next Day Air Saver", so hopefully I'll be able to get it before the weekend.

I'll try to write an extensive review of the item and my Malibal experience

 

I was planning on ordering one later today but now I'm starting to wonder if I should.

 

Why not? What turned you away from buying one?
