Since I saw this floating around the P151HM1 lounge I thought it might be good to bring it up here as well. Malibal has promised the offering of higher end graphics cards (with the larger psu of course) in the P151HM1. You can see here that we were told it "should" be up by today but I have yet to see it. Can a Malibal member please comment on this as I am sure I am not the only one wondering about this :D ? Thanks!

That would definitely be interesting to see, as it has been a few months since it had GPU options (from any retailer). Keep everyone updated either way.

Just wondering, what is the benefit to the 151HM1 over the 150HM? Does the rubberised finish really turn that many people off?

I dont know about massively more expensive because the upgrade would cost the same amount as upgrading the p150. Aslo the power brick is extra 20 to upgrade according to others on this forum that got the p151 with the 6990m.

It is obviously cheaper to outfit the 151HM1 with the 180w PSu and 6990m

    This will be my route.

As of right now it is not possible to buy the p151hm with a better gpu, adapter etc directly from Clevo. This information came from their european sales people last week and it is possible that other information has gone out to american importers though I wouldn't bet on it.

A possible route is that sellers are approved to swap on their own and still have warranty. This I do not know about as I didn't ask.

I can get you more information on Monday/Tuesday as I will call Clevo to set up some other things.

Any more information about this? I'm very interested.

I'm looking to order soon, but I'm not too thrilled about the rubberized finish on the P150HM :p

Per Clevo this can not be done. This came directly from Clevo last week.

Accordingly with my previous post this is in line with what I was told as well. Perhaps Malibal referred to Clevo allowing aftermarket modifications with intact warranty. I think it's best if their reps come here and clarify things.

Whatever the conclusion it is great that they are pushing the subject as things may change for the upcoming 2012 models.

Okay, thank you both for the quick reply.

Hopefully a Malibal rep will stop by. It would be great to hear their take on it (although I assume it's essentially the same).

The 2012 models aren't expected for a fairly long time, right? I was assuming they would be released sometime after Ivy Bridge.
