    Malibal P170HM Screen Upgrade options

    I saw in the other threads from early this year that the stock screens in the p170hm are the LG screens. And the website lists the two that are AUO what the model numbers are. What are the models for the two 3D upgrade options? Are the stock screens still the LP173WF1?


    Also why is a resolution downgrade from 1920x1080 glossy to a 1600 x 900 matte $200? Or is that just a typo?

    On the AUO V.5 matte is it supposed to read 90% color gamut instead of 72%?

    Hi, the stock screen we use the most on the P170HM is the Hannstar HSD173PUW1. The 120HZ 3D screens are the LG LP173WF2. The 3D option that costs $200 is the same screen as the $135 3D option - but it includes one pair of the NVIDIA 3D Wireless Glasses.

    Also, we added the 1600 X 900 screen by special request for a customer who wanted the lower resolution.

    Lastly, the two AUO screens... the matte (V.5) is 72% and the glossy (V.4) is 90%. Hope that helps! :)

    Ok, I was just worried about the LP173WF1 which reviews and a handful of users on these boards said wasn't very good at all.

    Which screens are used in the 15" Clevos?

    It depends on which you're looking at, but they're all based on the AUO Optronics B156HW01:

    V.0 - the stock 60% glossy
    V.1 - the stock 60% matte
    V.4 - upgraded 95% matte
    V.7 - upgraded 95% glossy
