I have already placed an order on Malibal. :(

What are the alternatives? Is there any other way to get any protection?

It's unfortunately not something that is offered on Clevo models. Homeowners/Renter's insurance, your credit card benefits, and third party warranty companies are all other options if you absolutely need it.

You are going to need some first-hand skills with tinkering laptops. I've had numerous laptops now and I've always repaired them on my own and never really bothered with warranties. The only exception was Dell X1330 which had its mobo fried.

I thought you guys were off until tomorrow.

I see, thanks. Any recommendation on third party warranty companies? Since I am a student, I don't have many options.

I don't like tinkering with new laptops. It's like "Don't fix if it ain't broken". Since I will be traveling more than usual, unlike many other people here, I definitely need some coverage.

I did numerous experiment on my 4 year old Dell laptop, I have learned my lessons of pulling the keyboard too high can make your keyboard useless for the rest of the years.

If you are a uni student, consult someone at your department. Universities have generally some recommendations on 3rd party laptop warranties since almost all students have at least one laptop that they use everyday.

I really hope they have some options like theft coverage. Because my Malibal laptop is delicious.

I had a really bad experience with them. Had an xbox was insured by them, had it RRoD and they wouldn't cover it  Said it wasn't part of the coverage. Will NEVER buy from them again. You need to check exactly what is covered by the warranty.

Mythlogic offers accidental damage protection with their Clevos. Not sure if its through them directly or a 3rd party, you might want to ask them
