    Plain and simple, if I were to plug in a headset that had a built in mic, how does that work? Are there two jacks at the end to feed both the mic and headphones?

    Or do the operate in the same channel?

    Unless it connects via USB, it would connect via two plugs; one for headphones, one for mic.
