I was looking for a desktop until I saw this. I already have the alienware m14x which is perfect for school and gaming. I wanted a desktop but I would rather prefer the Malibal x7200. Could travel it if I want and have amazing power.

Specs I am looking at are :

    Intel® Core™ i7-960, 8MB L3 Cache, 3.2-3.46GHz
    2 X NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 560M 1.5GB GDDR5
    (12GB) 12288MB, PC3-8500/1066MHz DDR3
    500GB 7200rpm 2.5" SATA 300 Hybrid w/ 4GB NAND Flash

It's really a basic setup (for this laptop). The price is a beautiful 2300 $

My question is , how long will I be able to max out pretty much every game ? And plays game over medium settings ? hence how long will this beast be with me.

    Thanks in advance :)

Well the 560M is really a mid range card. 560M SLi should be able to max out everything unless maybe BF3. But longterm if you want your system to really last then 580Ms are what you need.

Are you absolutely set on the desktop processors?
You could probably squeeze out better performance by going with the Veda laptop, upgrading to dual 6990m and sticking with an i7 2760m processor instead. Keeping the rest of your setup the same I was able to get a laptop gfor $2144 (including the $100 discount.)

AMD Radeon HD 6990M Crossfire - Notebookcheck.net Tech

That will max out any current game. Who knows what the future will bring, but this is a better deal. Unless you're interested in emulation or prime number hunting the moderately strong processor should work for games - focusing on the video cards will help more.

For the most part yes, just pray that the xfire driver support is good for the game you want to play.

The 560M is a mid range card for this generation of GPUs. Its about 50% slower than a 6990M / 580M.

More like a few weeks. That's when it is supposed to be officially announced.
