Malibal: Buy now or wait until Black Friday

I'd suggest to buy now, ask them to include their holiday price protection deal and if any discounts happen then you can ask them for cashback. I got my P170HM from them last week and it's a great machine. Also their customer support has been superb! If I decide to buy a gaming machine in the future I'll be a returning customer.

 

Do we expect them to guarantee the price difference with the 6990 through years end, since changing it back to the normal price would then have it qualify for the price protection, no?

I suppose we should start a list for all of their cheapest prices over the next 2 months, so if you miss it and pay more, you can know to ask for teh refund. :-B

 

I would be careful with some of these price protection policies. if you actually read through them, they do not seem to support price drops for special events.

No idea if Black Friday can be considered as a special event or not. Best to ask!

Holiday Season, OK it's just a time of the year, not a special event. But if some store is suddenly selling the same product for 50% of the price only on Christmas, no idea if the price protection policy would cover that...

 

Considering it's a lower price, for the part and most likely for the total purchase, I don't see how it wouldn't be protected.

Hehe, I'm waiting till at least Black Friday to buy my first laptop in eons. Alas, my reason is purely financial as I've already spent too much cash this month. If the wait also happens to yield a better deal on a Lotus p150hm, that's all fine and well too.

 

If you're focusing on the lotus with Black Friday on your mind - you don't need to wait. They have the deal where if the price lowers, you get that difference back - up until December 31.

Just letting you know - since I took advantage of that deal two or so weeks ago.

I am planing to buy Malibals Satori P170HM3 also and waiting for more good discount's too but as they don't include any option for new NVIDIA 3D Vision 2 glasses , i think i just going too choose only 3D display with no glasses kit .

From what I've seen with Malibal they have excellent customer service.
I wonder if their price guarantee would cover other reseller's black friday discounts? If I knew that to be the case I would place my order immediately.

yeh, more than likely they have discounts on accessories and offer free stuff, but holiday price protection wont cover these , i am pretty certain. so they will come out most probably on thanksgiving day. I am waiting for it too! I am getting 8170 too!

Hi guys , can some one explain and make it clear for me about Malibal's free upgrades and discount . for example i want to upgrade my GPU to gtx 580m but can i also use the $-75 discount for upgrade from gtx 560m to radeon 6970m ?! or in another way use all discounts but for my different customization ?!

 

Very interesting discounts on Malibal. I'm guessing the free upgrades won't work if we just click on them and not the actual upgrades on the bottom.

If we want the 560m to 6970m of -$75, I'm assuming that free upgrade box and the 6970m upgrade in the Graphic Card category need to be marked in order for the discount to work. At least that's how I understand from their description at the top.

 

Hi, yes that is correct - you need to select each upgraded part in order to qualify for the promotional discounts at the top of the configuration page.

 

Then u must be using the $100 off $1500 for which u are not eligible

 

So I guess holiday price protection doesn't really work with these Black Friday deals then.
