    Mantle is starting to roll out. anyone has any idea when we could see notebook cards 7970m/8970m getting the new drivers and any ideas on what the performance boost will be like.

    allarently it helps out systems facing a cpu bottleneck.

    Odd, they say that it works on "all GCN GPUs" but the article does state that AMD Enduro/PowerExpress users are out of the deck. Hopefully it will be just a matter of messing with drivers, as I don't see any reason for this limitation :S.

    It's right, but technically, "all GCN gpu's" means all desktop GCN , the enduro drivers will come later, but you know AMD, later can mean - 3~6 months....

    performance pump is not as great as utilization fixed (if).

    Has utilization not been fixed? I've heard, and my personal experience shown no utilization issues (aside from a small 5% performance compared to non-Enduro just like we see with Optimus vs muxed)

    I think for the most part it has, and I haven't had any problems for some time now. I'm pretty sure the CPU is what's holding my performance back at this point.

    Anyone tried this with the Star Swarm demo on Steam yet? I can't get it to run off my 8970m. I've heard mumblings about being able to turn off the Intel display in the BIOS and getting it to work, but that sounds like heresy and I'd rather the drivers or the app get updated to do its thang correctly (identify the video card).
