I recently did a matte mod for my galaxy s2 and i figured i had tones of excess sandpaper and i really hate glossy stuff cause of the finger prints and all. so i decided to sand the bezel too..

i didnt really sand it to the finest detail aesthetically, just smooth to the touch, wayyyy nicer than the sticky feel of gloss
    .
in fact it looks reallly industrial and rustic now. maybe when i get sick of it i will sand it down finer.

Not bad! You could probably find a matte spray paint to color match it a little better too.. Or go finer on the sand paper to see if you can get rid of the individual scuff marks, but you already mentioned that.

The glossy bezel was definitely super annoying with the matte screen. I was wondering how much a spare LCD bezel would set me back, and perhaps even a lid so I could toy with them..

Wet sand it with like 500 and 1000 grit ;)

Looks neat and would have passed as an authentic stock finish. :p

What gauge and method of sanding did you use?

    Wet, hand, buffer, grit, etc.

I might try this since the bezel already has pressure marks from the matte finish of the 151hm

Actually, I don't have good knowledge in painting. I pick the rough sandpaper and sand off the base paint. Then, I paint black and put few layers of clear paint.
