    Hello everybody!

Just recently, I had received a message stating that I need to turn off aeros to get better system performance. I'm assuming I'm running out of memory. I'm using the All CPU Meter to give me a reading on memory usage. Right now, with 6 tabs open in Google Chrome, WoW up and running and Aeros running I'm using 2821MBs with 5349MBs free.

I'm using Norton's 360, Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Spybot for protection.

In the Window's Task Manager, it shows that I have 85 processes running that's taking 34% of physical memory.

FYI, I play WoW with 21mbs worth of addons.

Is it time to add more ram? I just received this laptop two months ago.

    Thanks in advance.

I wouldn't worry about it. One of the features that was introduced in Vista and carried over to Win7 is that the OS tries to use up all available memory to cache recently used programs/files. That way your computing experience is generally quicker. Look at it this way- if you have 6GB of RAM, why would you want 4GB of it to sit there doing nothing? If the OS can use up most of that spare RAM to speed up day-to-day operations, you'd get a boost out of it. Of course, Windows does give up all the RAM it's holding when you actually need it.

Long story short, unless you're noticing slow downs and performance issues, everything is working as expected.

I don't notice my performance degrading when the message pops up. I've only seen it pop up while playing World of Warcraft. To be honest, I'd rather have Aeros turned on :) looks a lot better than the basic option.

    Do you have superfetch enabled?

    No.

    I was following this guide.

    Setup and Manage SSD

This is what the guide said about superfetch:

13 - Disable SuperFetch It will learn your habits, perhaps using time to do so, and pre-load commonly used applications into memory to reduce their load times. We don't need/want the unnecessary activity. Besides, we're already going be fast.

    I also have Prefetch disabled.

Yeah sorry, my question wasn't very clear. I didn't mean for you to enable it. I was going to point you toward a similar set of recommendations if you hadn't already found it. I don't think you're the only person in the forum that's reported that WOW is giving them memory/aero problems. I remember seeing it in the owner's lounge as well.
