I bought my 5793 (Clevo m57RU) several weeks ago, and have been issue-free... until I tried out the built-in memory-card reader.
When I stuck an SD card from my camera into the reader-slot on the computer, it opened a dialog saying that I'd need to format the card before I could use it. Of course I cancelled, so that I wouldn't loose all the pictures off the card. Then Vista's DWM promptly crashed and reloaded. I thought it a cooincidence (even though I hadn't had that happen ever before), and tried the SD card reader again, with a new, blank card. Immediatly, Explorer (not Internet Explorer, Windows Explorer...) crashed, and then I blue-screened. On restart, I tried the card-reader one more time (in case restarting helped), and got the BSOD again. So, I put the plastic-plug back into the card-reader, went to Cirtuit City, and bought an external, USB reader to use.
I'm thinking there's an issue with the built in reader working with Vista 64 (which is what I'm running). Anyone else have issues like this? Thanks in advance!
