I can use any 2.5 inch SATA 3 hard drive and any 200 pin DDR2 PC 6400 memory on a Sager 9262... Correct??

And I can install myself? I work for an electronics manufacturer so I have a proper ESD station.

I'm a developer who's kind of new to hardware.

    Thanks,

    JP

yes, yes and yes. You don't even need a full esd station, as long as you're grounded/earthed. But hey, if you've got one...

Thanks for the response. That's kind of what I thought but I wanted to be sure before I ordered one with no hard drives.

Yeah that's what he meant, you should have no troubles really doing it. Just a few screws/cages that will take a couple mins. What I've found worked best for two hdd's is putting one under the battery and the other in the middle slot. Temps dropped quite a bit for me. Upgrading things on the 9262 have gone very smooth for me, pretty easy to do.

It's easy and you would have no trouble putting it in :).Just be careful.
