So I just got a new Satori from Malibal. The sound is very off, extremely tinny. It makes video/music unlistenable. Is this a common problem, or did I maybe not properly install my drivers when installing Windows?

The speakers can't possibly be this bad. :(

Did you install and register the THX software? Did you also try the FN+5 audio enhancement shortcut?

ooh, damn that helped! where is all that extra sound coming from?

I remember seeing a list of all the FN commands, does anyone have the link?

I found the sound to be mediocre at best, with thx running an what not.

I already got used to it, but I refrain from using the computer to listen to music anymore.

Well you can only expect so much from laptop speakers. I'm fine with the sound on my system but yeah, no bass as expected. Haven't tried it with headphones yet, that might be a better experience.

A bit off topic, but maybe not..
I know that my laptop has a little subwoofer, but althought I've installed thx and registered it seems that it doesn't work.
If I test all the speakers in the Realtek app all works but the sub doesn't emit any sound.
Also if anyone can point me to a list of FN+numbers functions?
All I know is that FN+1 is turbo fan. I tried to look those up in the manual but haven't had any success.
    Thanks!

i wanna ask that question too! Im writing from my phone right now. When i get home i can try lifting the laptop up and putting my ear to the sub to hear if it works at all. You are from germany right? Schenker is very expensive, did you know about Nexoc?
Anyways - try putting your ear to the sub and tell me if you hear anything. I will be monitoring the thread. (this took me 5mins to write from my phone)

    Hi,
As I said sub is working now. I've tried to test all the speakers with the Realtek hd app and sound comes out from it now, it wasn't before.
Well it doesn't sound amazing nor deep, but it works.
Also mySn isn't that expensive. Actually quite the opposite, a similar system configured like mine was about 200€ more on nexoc.
Mine came for 1400€, plus they offer PayPal if you pay a little fee (50€) which was a deal for me, I don't use bank transfers internationally.
The laptop was built and shipped in 4 days from Germany to Italy and it came with AS5 applied as well.
So yes I'm in Italy not in Germany :)
