    Hey guys,

Is anyone having issues with metro last light, it worked fine for the first 10 mins and then it began dropping to 5 fps. I've noticed the utlization % of the card drops to 10%. I updated drivers to 13.4, rebooted, etc.. what gives.

my systems specs are listed in my sig.

any help will be greatly appreciated!

If you go on guru3d forums other AMD users are also having problems.
    Texture flickering, and underutilization...

I doubt its throttling based on gameplay vids of quagmireXIII on guru3d forums.

    AMD just sucks.

I have no enduro, the np9370 has it disabled.

This is odd because I've ran all other games flawlessly at max or near max (assassin's creed 3, crysis 3, farcry3, farcry 3 blood dragon, bf3, planetside2, etc etc..) This is the first time in ~6 months of ownership that the card isn't acting the way it's supposed to.

i'll updated w the steam patch when i get home and i'll check back in with an update.

If it's still working flawlessly with other games, it's probably software optimization specific. Let us know if those updates work for you.

Well i got home and patched the game, I relaunched it and it now doesn't recognize my old saved files, even tough i see them in the "documents/4a games/metro" directory. I relaunched a new game just to see how the game is affected and i must say it does look good so far.

I have textures on very high, ssaa on auto, texture filtering on af16x, tessellation on normal, and motion blur on normal. The usage is now around 89-97% and im getting a consistent 43-49 fps.

The thing is when i first launched it it started working fine, it didn't start bugging out until the prison level (i'll try not to spoil it for anyone). So for now, i'll keep going until i get there again and post back with an update, really lame how i can't use my old files when i can clearly SEE them... did it make a new directory?

It's a new game, so it's expected to be full of bugs. Can't say for sure it's an AMD problem.

if it will break your save game, try this: just start new game....play first scene until it will save and create new folder in ...Documents\4A Games\Metro LL\....and then copy all files from your old save folder to the new one. Its working for me...sorry for bad english

If it is program specific hopefully they patch it very soon. In the meantime, try a few different drivers, such as the beta; or roll back.

Oh no the game runs just fine now, just having an issue with the saves... i'll do what lobo recommended and see how the game performs in the previously buggy section.

as far as these problems being AMD specific, they're not. After looking into it Nvidia systems are running to quite a few bugs themselves, (pshyx and the same exact ones i was having with the shadow glitches)

Oh by "program specific" I meant specific to the game optimization, not the driver. But that's good that it's running fine, now. :)

I guess the problem between the update and the older version was an additional directory. I went ahead and deleted the old folder and relaunched the game and simply dragged the files over into the new directory... and success! the game now utilizes 90%+ of the car running at a smooth 45-49 fps!
