Anyone had this issue before? I just got my computer today and After I installed my OS (Windows 7 64-bit), I was trying to run Civilization 4 and said was missing MSVCP71.dll before that it said it was missing MSVCR71.dll. I'm guessing its gonna be missing a couple more after that, I also installed all my drivers. I was wondering if this was a framework thing and was missing a download somewhere. I download DirectX 10 still won't work.
Anyone have any Idea of what I might possibly be missing?

Xion you are correct that particular .dll file is one that is found in the runtime libraries of visual C++ 2005. It sounds like you may have not had a complete installation of that runtime library. This only happens during Civ IV? If so I would try to uninstall and reinstall the game to see if that fixes your issue. Otherwise you can download that particular library for 64 bit(provided your using 64 bit, I guess I'm just assuming here) The 64 bit runtime library that includes the .dll file that you are missing can be found here: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...30-4468-4BBC-9673-D6ACABD5D13B&displaylang=en .

Now to find a dang lower resolution that is not blurr for a 15.4" computer that has a native of 1920x1200. I know its impossible but ill find something. -

I am guessing that you have tried 1680 x 1050 and because its not native it looks bad? That would be my guess as well. You could always purchase a 1680 x 1050 screen for it and replace the screen. Otherwise if it is hard to read try messing with the custom dpi settings within Windows 7. They implemented a pretty decent software based dpi scale settings which you can find under personalize->display->custom text size(dpi setting). You could play around with that to see if you can find a dpi that is more to your liking.
I am glad we could help you out with your problem. Enjoy your machine!
