Disclaimer: I will not do this, I am just asking for informative purposes.
If I have 2x 4GB 1600Mhz sticks in a P150EM, can I add 2x 2GB 1033Mhz sticks? Will they be recognized and will performance be affected negatively?

I think the higher Mhz sticks will downclock to the lower speed. Some people will say mixing different speeds is a bad idea, but I've done it without a problem on my old laptop.
Also, I'm not sure how this will effect dual channel memory. If someone else could chime in, would both pairs still be running in dual channel since he has two of each type, or do all four sticks have to be identical? -
I suspect as long as you "pair" the 2 GB mem and "pair" the 4 GB mem in the appropriate slots, everything should run in dual channel mode. I have not experienced issues with mixing speeds, but downclocking to 1033 MHz from 1600 may have a noticeable performance effect in certain games/applications.
