I've been trying to get my modem to work for the past 2 days. Everytime I try and dial, I get a blue screen with a different error message then it reboots into Vista again. I have dial-up at home, so I know how to set up a modem.

I experienced Sager tech support for the first time yesterday about this problem. Not impressed. They're more or less blaming me for changing the software on the laptop. I upgraded the video drivers to the latest from Nvidia's website. Removed the trial version of MS Office and installed my own copy, and my son installed a game on it. And its my fault the modem doesn't work.

It seems I'm not allowed to configure the software to the way I want it. To the way my son will need it for College.

    Any suggestions?

Thanks. I got it. On another post, Njoy gave me some help and it worked. Installed newer Realtec drivers then re-installed the modem drivers. This time it worked.

And yes, I have tried to re-install the modem drivers. Sager gives one driver. Compal lists 3 different ones. Nothing worked.
