I have a Spyder 3 Pro colorimeter and used it to calibrate the display on my new Sager NP8170 with the 6970M

    Display:
    LP173WF1-TLC1 LG WUXGA 1920x1080 (HW_ID: LGD0285)
You can confirm your display via Device Manager\Monitor\Properties\Details\Hardware_ID

    Video card:
AMD ATI 6970M Driver Version 8.810.0.0

All default monitor/color settings from the factory
Brightness was set to 6/7 (1 less than full bright)
Calibrated with default 2.2 gamma, 6500K white point

From the factory my display was a bit washed out and the colors were a bit on the cool (bluish) side. Big improvement after running calibration.

Note, since all monitors are slightly different and need to be calibrated periodically, YMMV.

    Installation for Windows users:
    unzip to Windows\System32\spool\drivers\color

New profile can be accessed via Control Panel\Color Management

I have a Viewguard matte screen protector coming in the mail tomorrow and will post the color profile for that as well.

Thank you very much for this profile. I do photography and this definitely warmed up my blue tint. Photos look awesome now. I have the viewguard protector and the 90% screen. The colors are the best I have seen.

    Not working for me.
    It`s all red now :/

EDIT: I think I just needed some time to get used to it.
It looks like a bit more red than normal, but it's better than default ICC.

How can I custumize your profile? I can't do it with Windows 7 calibration.
    Thanks for sharing :D

This profile turns my screen an extreme shade of red. It's like looking through a red visor.

If I try to customize the profile with Catalyst it automatically changes to default windws profile, because you have to click reactive amd color control.
If I try over Windows 7 calibration, same happens when I hit calibrate, it changes back to default windows profile.
    Annoying.

You can also install this profile by simply right clicking on the file and then selecting install.

The program I've attached will allow you to easily change between profiles.

To add profiles to the list, open the Start Menu, type in Color Management, click Add, then navigate to the desired profile.

    Hey guys.
I need a good color management program.
Because the Windows one is driving me nuts. Everytime I launch fullscreen games it loads back Windows default calibration.
I have to go to Windows color management and reload MifuneT calibration.

I just found out that this happens because of DirectX is not compatible with ICC profiling. The only solution is to run games or programs in windowed fullscreen.

Now I have another question. Somebody knows a program that can edit ICC profiles?
Or MifuneT, could you please just send another profile with a little more gamma? Games look very dark here.

    Thanks
