    Hi!i just want to calibrate my laptop's monitor for more accurate colors and white to be white not grey!!do u guys have any suggestions for color profiles etc?also in ati ccc settings there is an option extended display identification data(EDID).what exactly is that option??thx!

    Hi johnnyman! As a first option, you can try using the calibration wizard built into Windows. That will get you to set your brightness, contrast, and gamma - hopefully that appeals to you in terms of image quality. It's also my understanding that 6500k color setting on the monitor gets you more accurate whites.

    As for "extended display", that has to do with outputting to external monitors. Here's a little more info on it, courtesy of AMD: AMD Eyefinity Technology

    when i click extended display identification data(EDID) color is more intense and more accurate.also white seems more accurate too and all that my laptop's monitor not an external one.

    Looks like you have the stock screen and not an upgraded 95% option. I havent seen any one post profiles for the stock screen.
