I've had this laptop for a few months and love many aspects of it, but the monitor is extremely dim. I've typically had Dells (work laptops) which have very bright monitors when on AC, and dim while on battery, but my Sager is the same intensity both on battery and on AC....and the intensity is similar to my Dells on battery. I figured it was something specific to Sagers, but it just can't be this dim or people would be complaining. What am I missing here? I'm using the 9800m GT with the 1680x1050 res screen. I've got the power settings to normal, but they should be adjusting for the power being received anyway, correct?? Any suggestions?

have you toggled the Brightness controls to max?

if so, then contact your vendor and tell them your issue so that they can either replace the panels or repair the current panel if there are loose cable or a backlight in need of replacement.

also are you on battery saver, balanced or high performance. first 2 always have a dimmer screen.
click on battery in bottom right of screen and if not put on high performance.
