    Monitoring mobile ATI & nVidia Video Card Temps - Do your temps worry you?

    Your temp seems fine. If it does not get past 90 C degrees, you should be fine. :)

    As for overclocking, you can do that if you use RivaTuner.... as well as unlock the Coolbits function in the Nvidia Control Panel.

    thanks for ur help Gophn. Now i am using 163.44 the newest driver. now durring gameplay my temp goes about 80c-87c...88 c. Do i have to worry about that??? pls let me know the DANGER temp for 8600m GT??

    most gaming GPUs will downclock itself when it reaches a critical temp (usually around 95C degrees) and shutdown the system if it hits threshold temps (past 100C degrees)

    I would not worry, just make sure you are using a notebook cooler and cleaning out the fans/vents once every month or two...
    - open the panels to get to the fans if possible
    - use Q-tips and compressed air (cans or compressor)
