I have a question if anyone could help me

I have order a sager np9150 almost a month from XoticPC. I have been waiting for them to get the Crucial 128gb msata in stock. They dont know when its coming in so i have basically decided to just buy the msata from somewhere else. Im looking to spend no more then$150 if possible. i want to be able to put the OS on it.

Im looking at the Mushkin Enhanced Atlas Series 120gb or the Crucial 128gb. anyone know which one is better or have any ideas on any other brands? Since the slot in the computer can only read the sata II speeds is there actually any difference in the speed from the Mushkin and Crucial even though they have different read and write speeds?

    Thanks

I wonder if this is unique to Xoticpc or if other vendors are having the same issue.

All Sager resellers are out of them. Since its a part Sager installs directly, if they are out no resellers are able to get them.

I agree with Meaker, the Intel 525 are the way to go but since the mSATA is a II port you probably wont see any speed difference between the Crucial and Intel.

Thanks for the heads up. I guess my build is going to take a bit longer than expected, sadly.

Looking at the intel 525 they r roughly around $150 for the 120gb. which is way more then the mydigitial msata

    Is there a difference between
MyDigitalSSD 120GB BP4 2.5" Slim 7 Series 7mm SATA III 6G SSD Solid State Drive
    and
    MyDigitalSSD 120GB BP4 50mm SATA III 6G mSATA SSD Solid State Drive - MDMS-BP4-120?

Will they both work with the sager np9150?

The first option is a regular SSD drive so it wont fit in the mSATA slot, it needs a regular hard drive bay, the second option is a mSATA slot which goes where you want it to.

I'm not very familiar with that brand so cant comment on that.

We are getting our first shipment of Samsung PM841 mSATA in tomorrow, in 128GB and 512GB size. Think the samsung 840 pro but in mSATA we'll be adding them to our configs (and we'll sell them by themselves also), too bad its still sata2, but when haswell comes out.. yea they will F L Y

I don't suppose anyone has an update on when Sager might be getting the M4 in?

Sager did update it but not in a good way. They went from a April 1st ETA to no ETA now. Hopefully they will update it with a solid date but as of now theres no date to provide.

Thanks for the heads up. Looks like I may have to call Larry and see if there's a way to modify my order to get something that's actually in stock, even if it ends up costing me.

No problem. The 64GB did come back in so all other mSATA options except the Crucial M4 128 and 32GB options are available including all the Intel 525 ones.
