    Hello everyone.
    Viewing this forum's reseller's guide I found Multicom Xishan N650, which seems like a nearly perfect desktop replacement notebook for me - fast CPU, lots of RAM, fast SSD, no useless (for me) auxiliary GPU, all within my budget.
    Until import taxes kick in.
    So I think, maybe there's another place where I could get the same thing? Does anyone recognize the barebone?

    @JerryDD Hi and welcome!

    This is the Clevo N650DU - quite a lot of resellers use the Clevo designation in their product name.

    I can't link to our website directly from thispost due to nbr reseller account rules, but we sell this same chassis as the Schenker Office 15 ;-)

    Let us know where you are based and we can advise you on the import taxes and so on.

    Thanks a lot for the answers. It seems that the reason why I couldn't find more offers of the same is that most distributors still have it with Skylake only. Shouldn't be a problem to get a Kaby Lake one :)

    There is a Clevo BIOS update which supports Kaby Lake CPUs in this chassis.

    XMG, why don't you support 65W CPUs in this chassis?

    The Schenker "Office" models are marketed as exactly that i.e. they aren't intended as workstations like the DTR15 is, instead they are intended as lighter performing Office laptops and the 35W T series CPUs give lower running temperatures and a longer battery life.

    If you want a 65W CPU in this chassis, for example the i7-7700 then you can of course have it - just email [email protected] and ask the sales team ;-)
