Did you have the power supply connected, or were you playing off battery?

Are you able to power it back on without any issues or is it not booting up now? If you can boot it back up, has this only happened once or is it recurring?

Amber lights on the front just mean that it's powered off and charging. Amber + green means powered on and charging. If it boots back up, it may have just had a power hiccup or something else and not worth worrying about. If it happens again or fairly often, it may be worth checking out though. -
Change your AC adapter to 180Watt

yes it's worth worrying about, it's sh!t like this people brush off and clevo holds no responsibility for because nobody blames them. computers don't SHUT DOWN with out a reason, i've seen this happen on 3 sagers now. i suggest you get in contact with the company, when they send the replacement test the crap out of it, linx furmark the works. It could be the motherboard not able to keep stable due to voltage instability if your temps weren't in danger zone, as well as heat on your controller or different parts of the motherboard.

was able to turn it on no issues, happened only once so far

Haha yeah, gotta agree with this. My laptop has done the shutdown thing a couple of times within the four months or so that I've owned it (once while in the middle of installing a game, that was a fun mess to cleanup). No idea what could have caused it, since temps were all fine according to HWInfo logs, and Event Viewer showed no oddities. Random shutdowns could very well be some kind of hardware defect, but since it doesn't happen often enough and seems completely and utterly random, it could be a lot of hassle trying to track down the issue. I'm guilty of trying to just chalk it up as a fluke, but deep down I know something probably ain't right... -
you can't blame them though. They would have to re-create a random shutdown many many times during testing to be able to pinpoint the problem, and it's kinda hard to create a random shutdown.
-
yes i can blame them and whatever scenario caused the shutdown(apart from known software errors and it appears to be indicating hardware), i would not be surprised if clevo knows about this but again does nothing except add revisions later on which is tough luck for the people who paid for there expensive new laptops.
I'm sure Toyota had a few "flukes" before enough people complained for them to recall there cars, i would not be surprised if enough people complained it would force clevo to really take supervision in the motherboards there assembling, quality and test duration of there parts, seems lots of people are having this issue, why is that?(again nobody says nothing) your the customer they slave over you not other way around.
next time you experience a shut down when your doing something important out of the blue, see if you side with your own philosophy
edit: the only thing i learned with clevo is if your going to buy there laptops new from a reseller buy with more then a 1 year warranty, otherwise consider yourself out of luck(make sure the company also allows extended warranty), i'm getting a p180hm motherboard real soon and i will be TESTING the SH!T out of it for a week straight to confirm it's stable, last thing i want is random shutdowns and sit there with no idea on what to do. I recommend users start doing the same, it'll be tough on resellers as well i get it, but again point the finger at the source, this is a joke to pay this much money for FUBAR gear -
I got 5 years warranty on the notebooks stock parts so im good.
(Norwegian consumer laws be the best, but for the salesman it can be a pain.)
My 1st random shutdown! :O
