    he is using a lower resolution. obviously.

    when you do a 3dmark score always post a screenshot with the score and the resolution.

    i have seen it all the time.

    He has a WXGA+ screen, therefore he can't run it at 1280*1024.

    What does WXGA+ mean? Is it 1680x1050 or 1440x900?

    WXGA = 1280 x 800
    WXGA+ = 1440 x 900
    WSXGA+ = 1680 x 1050
    WUXGA = 1920 x 1200

    With that much overclocking they probably managed one run.
    Then it exploded. :D

    my friend got a 2900xt and for some reason my 7900gtx kills it.

    crazy, obviously there's something wrong with it.

    we were running X3, and both at 1900x1200 maxed out.

    I got 50+ fps and he got like 20fps.

    same with oblivion...

    Awesome...Hey - should windows automatically download SP1 or do I have to manually search for it and download it? To answer your question I have the Glossy WUXGA....I don't know whether I regret going with Vista-64 over Vista 32 or not..so far, I havn't been able to play the original Neverwinter Nights because of incompatiblity...I worry what else will go wrong lol....

    One thing to realize is (correct me if I'm wrong) the 3dmark stuff is optimized for ATI cards.

    Could be, a lot of games are coded and optimized to run on Nvidia cards.
