    XoticPC.com is amazing, fast shipping, excellent service... A++++. Im amazed with what a beast of a laptop this is. Its super fast and looks amazing.... the sound is very low even when installing many things at once. I'll have gaming scores up soon. The only downfall is that i have 1 dead pixel... but its no biggie barely notice it.

    Very nice. Can I ask for a battery drain test in addition to gaming benchmarks? I'm curious to see how efficient the P9500, Robson MKII, and 9800m GT are with, what does the 5796 have - a nine cell battery?

    I'm going to make a wild guess at 2.5 hours of looped DVD playback time.

    One thing i noticed is that the finger mouse on the laptop isn't the greatest compared to some other laptops.

    Crysis? He just got the laptop. After spending $2500, the first game he plays shouldn't be the one game his rig can't play on ultra high settings.

    That's like driving a brand new sports car on a very scenic road, with a speed limit of 5 MPH.

    How is the fan noise on idle, and when you press silent mode, is it low enough to bring into a quiet library like other main stream laptops? Press Fn+1 and Fn+3 and see if the fans change. Remember Fn+1 not FN+F1

    Yea i love cod4. When you press the button, the machine really goes silent. You could def bring it into a libary im going to college next month and im in the same situation.

    Jum when yo press the silent mode button, you can still web browse open up your notepad or something right?

    Also did you dry the FN+1 and FN+3. I am asking this because on the 5793 they added this function to give fan control and was wondering if it was still there could you try?

    Glad to hear silent mode actually makes it silent

    K then they still have the fan functions. FN+1 = High fan mode, then when you press it agian its auto. Fn+3 = medium mode.

    If you can try and go to a quiet room. Press Fn+1 so the fan noise is high, then press it agian so it go back to auto low mode. Listen to the auto low mode and then press silent mode button and see if there are any differences in sound.

    4k is normal for your spec.

    This 3DMark VANTAGE does not equal 3DMark 06
    people with teh 5793 with your specs have gotten around 4k

    Vantage uses a different scale. Try 3DMark 06 for comparison.

    There were several people who ordered a 5793 who where upgraded to a 5796 before you even put your order in. You would have been at the bottom of the waiting list if you waited till they put the prices up.
