I received my Rizeon M571 (Clevo M571RU-U) on the Saturday 5th April just gone. I ordered from Rizeon, who are based in UK, I've heard a lot about US resellers and a lot of good things about them, but it didn't give me enough persuasion to order one outside my country and paying the hefty tax ... so then began my quest searching for a UK reseller.
Rizeon have provided top quality support with the many emails i sent them, and it seems they don't get enough attention, their warranty is the same as Rock except Rock are far more expensive. The JFL92 was my first consideration then realised that they were soon going to stock the popular 17" Clevo, which persuaded me to rethink what i really wanted. Ordered on 27th March, they told me it would be ready earlier, but i needed a Saturday delivery so got it slightly later, can't argue with that!
Anyway i haven't played too much with the system yet, except... ran 3DMark 06 scoring 9163, which seems to be the norm. Also tried CS Source, and runs it well - as expected. Going to play more later!
Specs:
Intel® Core™ 2 Duo T9300 2.5GHz 6MB / 4096MB 667MHz DDR2 SDRAM
NVIDIA® GeForce™ Go 8800M GTX 512MB / 17" WUXGA+ (1920 x 1200)
Main point of this post was to show the photos, it's the silver version - there doesn't seem to be enough pics of the silver![]()
There's also some photos of it next to my 24" monitor for comparison. Let me know if you need any more pics!![]()

I love the pictures! Good job.
-
Now that is some gallery. If somebody did not know how this particular laptop looks like, they sure do now.
Awesome work, and congrats on the purchase . Game on it wisely -
Cheers guys! Took a lot of pics before i even started to play with it! (any rep would be great for this 60+ image gallery :/ jk)
I thought we've seen enough of the orange.. needed to see the silver one, and also some real shots instead of concept ones...
Should help those who are considering this laptop.Last edited by a moderator: May 8, 2015 -
impressive shots. Please take this to no offense it solidified my decision more for choosing orange
. Again its just a matter of preference and im sure this will make others who want silver to choose silver! Again really nice shots! and grats on your new lil friend!

+rep
nice pics -
Hey how did you make the lid silver? I thought it was supposed to be black?
EDIT: Nvm, silver lid is for the Silver NP5793 - black lid is for the Orange trim version -
+rep for the awsome pics! (BTW whats the reps for/what do they do?)
-
nice man.. you know i thought i was kicking myself for not getting the silver but i have to say as nice as that looks and as much as i thought otherwise i like the black better.. imo the silver lid looks out of place. if it was just the silver trim that would be amazing looking
-
Actually Rizeon didn't give me the choice, as they only stocked the Silver one, but when i saw the system - i wasn't disappointed, visually looks great, and looks better than it is in photos. What surprised me is the size, i expected it to be larger than anticipated, it's actually not that big or heavy and can be lifted with one hand.
I would have liked it if opening switches were identical both sides instead of one being a lock, could kinda make you lift up one side and leave the other, which could break the thing if you use too much force...
I'll do a review later -
I`ve got the same config from Sager. I am very happy with it, though its really loud. But thats no news, is it?
Paendrag -
thanks for the heads up on Rizeon, another clevo reseller in uk that i didint know about.
also, are u able to update your video drivers and make it run full speed?
if so can you tell us your motherboard bios version and also your video bios?
to find your motherboard bios press F2 on bootup.
to find Vbios, download GPUZ and run it.
many thanks -
Congrats mate!!
-
Wah... Mine also identical to your specification! (not yet here though..) thank you for the silver gallery! Been looking for more (and to cure this sickness also
)
-
The machine is slightly noisy, but i'm impressed with the cooling system, really it keeps the laptop very cool.
Touchpad went berserk at one point where it would randomly double click, not entirely sure why, but it's ok now. -
nice laptop.... yeah try some new drivers see if they downclock..thx
-
great pictures, i hope you enjoy it!
-
lol i repped you even before i read this... i wouldnt have repped if i saw this post, lol jkLast edited by a moderator: May 8, 2015 -
Black lid with silver trim would have been great!
Who cares, though? It's still one heck of a machine, it still looks great, congratulations! -
everybody agrees that the silver trim should have a black lid
if you look here:

such a shame that clevo didn't notice this demand. -

Here are the stats and figures for my GPU:

Could you tell me if it shows mine is being underclocked or not?
I'm using drivers 174.74. -
Congrats on the notebook. Great photo's... it just goes to show how stylish the silver trim looks.
-
Arenji you where able to run driver 174.74 and run a 3d score of 9131??
your vbios is 62.92.23.00.14..... What is your BIOS @?
Only reason why i ask i cant even load 174.74.
and this will help out naticus and I as well. I am a bit confused you are also using vista 64 Ultimate I am running Vista 64 HP... Doesnt make sense. I dont see much of a dif between 64 Ult and 64 HP -
Yep, i'm running 174.74.
The BIOS is 1.00.08. -
thanx for confirming that for me arenji. ill try load 174.74 again if not gunna go give my sellers a talking too.
-
I got my rizeon the other day as well. Same batch I think
They are a very good company to deal with.
I can't get a 3dmark06 over about 8700 no matter what driver I use!
I have heard that certain vbios will underclock the card if you use non stock drivers. I am going to install the 174.82 drivers and see what happens !!! -
How much did you pay for your if you don't mind me asking?Last edited by a moderator: May 8, 2015 -
about £1500 -/+ i paid
@daverage
Did you get the 8800M GTX? you should get above 8700 3DMark06 pretty easily, i got over 9100 as soon as i got mine, what spec is yours? -
-
I have the same system as you mate!
Here is my gpu-z looks under clocked as well.
-
Got the same bios myself. Can you spot the difference in my screenshot though?

Getting a 3dmark06 of 8865 now.
Also realised that the GPU clock bit should be ignored, watch the sensor readout and run an app. Your clock speed should show up right that way!!Attached Files:

What software you using and is it stable? -
Check NiBitor and NVflash to modify and reflash your 8800 Bios.
If you do a search in the forum you will find information on how to do that. -
It is very stable by the way.
-
ooo, chip way to expensive to be reflashing lol. Will leave it for now
-
You can use NVTune then but you won't be able to overclock too much with that.
-
haha... i was comparing the screenshots line by line, then finally noticed...
What is your 3DMark micloi (Edit: Just saw it in your sig)? Although you have the faster CPU... I can't see myself overclocking, i don't think i need to actually... seems to do the job! -
Nice pics! I have the silver too and it looks great.
-
-
Any version for your operating system should do. I just downloaded the first that came up when I searched.
-
My version is 1.5.2000.1
-
If I knew silver looked that good I would have gotten that instead
-
told ya
-
mm downloaded he latest version, but the monitor causes a bsod and the tuner stuff never finishes. Also read somereally bad stories about ntune.
May just live with what I have, thanks for the help though!!
Wonder if the ESA stuff ill work with it, doubt it mind lol. -
Sorry it did not work for you. When you want to try again let me know and I will try to help. Installed it on 3 laptops without any problems.
-
will try it again. Would you reccomend running the auto tune bit?
-
Nor really. I never used that bit. I just enabled overclocking and started upping the speed slowly (could try core 520 up from 500 and memory 850 up from 800 and run either CRYSIS benchmark 3 times or 3DMark06 3 times)
Compare the results with the original speed and keep increasing the core first 10 at a time until your pc locks. Then lower that to the previous stable speed and upper the memory 10 at a time.
I believe that Core between 540 and 580 and RAM between 900 and 950 should be achievable. -
can i link to the pics in the m57ru owners lounge?
