It is beautiful and faster than I could have imagined! Will post pictures and more info after I play with it a bit.

Edit: After I put the aftermarket RAM in, I booted it up, and it booted in 10 seconds. No joke. Fastest boot time I've ever seen, let alone on Vista. I'm downloading AVG and Azureus and uninstalling Office 2007 trial, while installing Windows updates, and Im using <20% of my processor and <40% of my RAM.

Congrats as well mine will also be arriving this Friday from PCM. I was ordering a Dell that never showed up for the past two months and decided to place a order for the 9260 last week when I knew the 8/28 date was a flake.

Im using Vista Home Premium 64-bit (for the 4GB of RAM). I hate Vista but Xotic didnt have x64 available for XP.

Also, anyone know a good place to go for 7950 drivers other than Nvidia?

I just downloaded the 163.44 version drivers from laptopvideo2go.com which seems to work very well. Haven't actually played any games yet. Still getting all my software on this thing.

Also, this thing is beautiful. The pictures of it on these reviews make it look square and plain and even ugly. But this laptop is much sleeker than would seem. The lid is brushed aluminum and the inside is glossy (yet not fingerprint-prone. In short, I'm very surprised as to the style the D901 possesses.

Are you running RAID? I'd doubt you booted up in 10 seconds. An SSD boots up in an average of 27-3x seconds.

I meant from the time the Windows logo first appears to the time the logon screen loads, which is usually 5-7 minutes on first boot in Windows Vista.

Oh, misunderstanding on my part, my apologies. That's what I usually got also, but 5-7 minutes is a little too long lol.

I guess the 7200 RPM Hard Drive is doing me some good then haha.

    Congrats on the machine btw.

Lol, I have 4 GB of DDR800 Ram and Vista Experience Index gave me a rating of 5.6. How many GBs do you need for a 5.9? o_O

It probably has more to do with the RAM timings than the amount.
