    My NP5797 9800GTX got only 8335 3dmark06 score

    Hi guys anyone know why I got such a low score?
    My NP5797 specs:
    Q9000 2.0ghz CPU
    9800gtx 1Gb GPU
    500GB HD
    4GB RAM
    4GB TurboMem

    could you perhaps post your exact scores for GPU and CPU? also, what resolution did you run the tests at?

    I wonder if the CPU is to blame for that. While the Q9000 is capable of handling far more data bandwidth than say the X9100, I'm wondering if the 2GHz can't pump data to the GPU fast enough? The original benches of the card are on a 3GHz X9100 and all...

    sorry for my ignorance... I forgot to switch from "power saving mode" to "high performance". :D After I switched and tested it again I got 9710. Is this the ideal/expected score for it? Thanks.

    probably because your cpu is 2.0Ghz if you run same laptop config but with 3.0Ghz cpu will have much more higher cpu clock higher gpu score

    Great Nolem. Sounds about right. 3DMark is multithreaded, so I was confused as to why it would perform poorly.
