That's with physx off with physx on he would get like 50.000 on the CPU.

those scores are about right the Question is you would get more than 18,500 on the GPU score overclocking this Beast that was best Babyhemi score :)

My single gtx480m x7200, with i7 980x, 12gb ram is giving me overall score in:

    Vantage 12180

    3dmark06 19885, higher than I expected!

This 480m impresses me, even with low frame rate crysis warhead is smooth as butter! Playable beyond beleif.

I cant for the life of me get the console screen to come up to enable the r_displayinfo=1 command to see the frame rates though :( I know frame rates must be low but it feels so smooth!

yes the Psu safe trigger problem is there,,it only happens wen the load is on both CPU/GPU's is 100% it only takes like 5sec for it to trigger wen both are on full load,,a fix will be out soon,,any x7200 with 980x/2x480s will have problems with the psu.....

Are there any laptop resellers that offer a higher rated PSU?
If I'm going to go all out I don't want the PSU to hold me back, which is stupid in my opinion.

Would the power source be enough for a hexacore and only one 480m card and 12GB of RAM?

No reports that I know of with this issue and single 480 so I would say yes would be enough power.

I used my 7200 all weekend. Ran Prime 95 by itself and Furmark by itself with no problems. Played lots of Battlefield 2 at 2500x1600 on my external monitor and L4D 2 at 1920x1080. I had no PSU issues.

People are scared that their machine is going to shut down with normal use and this is not the case. You have to intentionally torture the machine to trip the PSU. Name me one game that will max both the cards and the CPU at the same time?

I am not cheerleading here and Clevo should fix this issue. The machine should run flawlessly under all circumstances. However for anything close to normal use (ie not running 2 torture tests simultaneously) there are no issues.

People will say that Speedy tripped his PSU with Mafia. That is true but after the PSU had already been tripped by torture. Perhaps a defective PSU is the issue here.

I hope it's that simple but it has to make you wonder, plus some members like to squeeze every ounce of performance out of there machines, becuase that's what some of us like to do :)
Anyway it's good to hear you have no problems to report and everything is running as it should.

    Very nice scores!
I’m ½ step away from getting one with the GTX 480M SLI.

Can someone please do me a favor. Can you explain the performance while on battery? In the past, Sager/CLEVO products would drastically down clock the CPU and GPU the second you unplug AC power, truing into one big paperweight.

Anyone mind running 3dmark06 while on battery? Hopefully it will make it through on a battery charge :)
I’d really like to know what CPU and GPU-z have to say on battery.

No offense but what is the point? You are never going to use this machine on battery for anything but moving it from point a to point b without shutting down. Maybe an emergency email check or web surf while in the airport or while traveling in a car.

You should never try to game with the machine unplugged. You will get maybe 15 minutes of power trying to game on battery.

Yes this is what I have found to be the case. Under all gaming, benching, even overclocking to a good degree the PSU does not shut down. When doing furmark and wprime at the same time there was no shut down. Only when ones were very extreme was there a PSU lack of output... :)

that’s all I need is 15 min, and if you're one of those "refuse to unplug" save yourself some money and buy a desktop; lugging around a 17" notebook is about the same :).
Forcing your notebook to a paperweight on battery is unacceptable; you should never buy a laptop that does this because its not a laptop or desktop replacement, its just an overpriced desktop.

Smokers find that 15 min is more than enough.

Can anyone please explain the performance of this rig on battery? a CPU-z / GPU-z would be really appreciated.

NM guys, just heard back from Sager. The system downclocks CPU and GPU when on battery with no option to shut that down; CLEVO has not changed in over 6 years now ;)
    Thanks anyway.

If it didn't downclock then it would put such a huge strain on the battery that it wouldn't last more than a month. Batteries are not meant to have such heavy loads put on them.

Also the battery probably isn't capable of outputting such a high current.

If the battery is 78Whr, then @ 300W it would last approx 15 mins, but as stated earlier, probably wouldn't be abe to handle it and would die very quickly.

The X7200 is really only a week old so its a bit early to mention reliability or warranty, Some have mentioned the PSU trips (shuts off to protect itself) when pushed to the limit 375w+ which Clevo are looking into, apart from that its an amazing machine.

Regarding mine it has been fantastic, its simply awesome!!!!

Well, clevo need to fix this big time, managed to OC my 980x to 4ghz on the x7200 with a vcore of 1.3125v, linx stable with highest temps of low 80's,, all via the XTU But the thing draws 303watts alone! No way I could run furmark at the same time, even if I do only have one 480m But I guess i'll never stress it like that in real life

XTU needs some tweaking, its not completely solid yet, I found my settings resetting after restarting, but have seemed to fix that, how? I'm not sure myself yet lol... how do I post up an image without this link rubbish?
