    Hello,

Recently my Sager NP8150 has had this issue where I cannot use it while it is plugged in because it shuts downs after a few minutes. I noticed that the part of the power brick cord that gets inserted in the computer gets burning hot if I try to have the laptop on while it is plugged in.

Now, I can charge it just fine while it is off and everything stays cool. But as soon as turn it on, the DC input gets very hot and the laptop shuts off (presumably to protect itself), minutes later.

Can anybody tell me what the problem is?

The AC connector on the motherboard or AC power adapter is some degree bended by force. It is still working, but leaking electricity causing the heat. Please contact your reseller or Sager immediately for help.
