I just received my sager and everything seems to work excellent. I am however having a problem with the built-in mic. It doesn't seem to be working and its not recognizing any sound. What should I do to make this work?

did you enable the mic (as well as select the Mic as the audio input) through the Volume Control?

Who wants to rant about the NP8660 being defective? Any takers?

Come on! Blow this issue way out of proportion.

    I dare you.

How dare Sager ship a $2200 laptop that isn't configured to the buyer's exact preferential settings.

On topic, can anyone comment about the quality of the on-board mic? Does it pick up voice well or does one need to speak directly into it? Is it excessively sensitive? Does it feedback into the speakers?

This is what you call user error. Unlike a keyboard sticking out from one side.

Hey come, it could've been a legit problem like faulty wiring or the actual microphone itself could've been funny.

I believe there is a Mic Boost option.

But I usually use my headset. :)

Yeah Oiad, it looks like the ghost is your avatar!

Please don't take this the wrong way, I'm just joking. Your avatar does look like a samurai ghost though.

Hey, don't you know a badly rendered Gunslinger when you see one? :D

Been meaning to get a quick comment on your Ride avatar too. I preferred 'Nowhere' but 'Going Blank Again' is not a bad choice by any means. MBV still gets still gets my vote in the shoegaze showdown though.

I would have to agree with you on that statement. As a matter of fact, I will be seeing them this October in Santa Monica, CA. They are having a reunion tour, they must need the cash since the solo projects might not be doing so well.

    Good taste in music Oiad!

Pretty awesome stuff live. Gotta see them here in Camden during their first official comeback performances. Was really impressed with 'The Holocaust' while everyone else held their ears back. It's hilarious seeing sceneters squeal even though many of them know of their notoriety for such noise. If you see guys handing out earplugs go for them. It sounds very uncool but apparently it helps bring out the true sound during their Holocaust improv and I wish I hadn't felt macho enough not to except some. Plus prevents the ear damage you will get for days after.

Anyway, I'm sure that any noise problems associated with the M860TU just can't compare.
