CPU:q9650
gragh card: dual 9800m GTX in sli![]()
hard drive: 3*500G in RAID 0

Congrats, there's 3 of us now on this forum with 9800m GTX SLI, please post 3dmark06 scores as well game benchmarks when u have a chance.
ohh and post the temps as well -
could you also post the scores here zyx1989 clikety click
-
3D Mark 06 plllssss!!!
-
well.....i think i should tested my system before i installed any thing.....but it is too late now......i saw some people got higher benchmark with 9800m GT in sli than my 9800m GTX in sli..........and ..... in game test coming soon.....
-
I never get this but people who always get their hands first on a new system that everyone is awaiting the benchmarks for, always do the wrong benchmarks. Everyone is awaiting the 3dmark06 score or Crysis score but u can never get it, instead u get a vantage score or pcmark score first.

Install the 177.92 driver before you run benchmarks.

I wonder what the real difference is between the 9800M GTX SLI and the 8800M GTX SLI...
-
Might want to put 177.98 on so you can run PhysX on your GPUs. You'll get a sick 3D Mark Vantage score that way.
3D Mark 06 is widely recognized, however 3D Mark Vantage represents a better synthetic benchmark of a true gaming experience. Ya'll might want to start getting familiar with it's scores. -
-
Well technically it will run on a radeon too. In fact, nVidia even supports ATI doing so.

Props to anybody else who can do it -
I'm talking here and now, not x amount of months into the future.
-
Well as far as I can tell the 9800 GTX Sli option does not significantly improve performance over the 9800M GT Sli, but I could be wrong.IMO not worth all the extra money.
-
No it´s only 112 SP´s vs 96 SP´s which the 9800m GT and 8800m GTX has. Not worth the money in my opinion.

Me as an eventual buyer of 9800 GTX SLI (owner of an XPS 8700 SLI) I am really looking forward to have see how it performs before final decision.
cheers -
We are talking about $600 upgrade for the GTX vs GT....is it really worth it?? -

with the 9800 gt sli it would put me around $3624
I'm not sure..I'm already going 100% b@lls out...is it worth going 110% (GTX sli) -
Your choice, but there isn't anyone who has shown that the 9800m gtx is even worth getting over a 9800 gt.
-
I may wait a month and see what others are saying, still it'd be nice to save 600$
-
I would wait for some scores, maybe 3DMARK06 scores(these benchmarks scores do not really give any idea of in game performance) just for comparison, maybe some game benchmarks would really help out better.
If you could just wait till we get more of an idea what we are dealing with, but hey it's your money and you want to go balls to the walls, I say go for it.
BUT $600 is $600.
Me personally I did not have the extra money for the GTX (also couldn't wait) -
not at all worth it imo
-
-
You may want to wait a bit to see how the OCZ Whitebook will perform.
You just might be surprised -
theres also the GTS to wait for
-
9800GTX in SLI!!!
Erhm...You've officially been awarded the "Person-With-Too-Much-Money" Award, we advise you to give to charity.
Thank You, and have a Nice Day.
Sorry from thread crapping -
-
Why would he need to wait on the GTS, when it's half the shaders of the GTX and 32 less shaders than the GT? -
-
9800m GTS has 64 SP´s, 9800m GT has 96 SP´s it is like an 8800m GTX. Where the 9800m GTS has a 600 MHz core as opposed to 8800m GTS which has a 500 MHz Core.
-
SO... where are those 3dmark06 scores?

sigh was hoping to see some scores already, my lappy is built and ready, i would have it by now if i hadnt opted for the paint job, went all out
So I still have a month+ till i get mine. Please someone post some benchmarks aside from Vantage :0 -
Just curious, what kind of paint job are you getting for you 9262? -
totally not worth it, consider that the ocz whitebook score over 15000 in 3dmark06 from killernotebook, yea.. im a best bang kind of guy, but its nice to have sli other then that, 9262 is butt ugly, thats all i gotta say about gtx sli
-
full paint job, having some graphic designed by a graphic artist.
-
Well those 3870 Crossfire didn´t even surpass my 8800m GTX SLI in Crysis, so who cares about a 15000 3D Mark score when they don´t beat my XPS M1730
NP9262 is a beast of a laptop.
-
What FPS do you in Crysis at 1900x1200 all high? (with no OC)
Have you posted that somewhere around here? -
SCORES?! Where are the freakin scores man!?
LoL -
What's up with the 9800M GTX in SLi? I see very few posts with benchmarks on this one, especially 3dMark06 and Crysis benchs.
Humm,
Trance -
he benchmarked his laptop and it went boom and was never heard from again....
-
Yeah I agree post more benchmarks of both 9800m GT and 9800m GTX, especially 9800m GTX.
-
well, im working on a set of gaming benchmarks as we speak
-
Still waiting
-
I get 13714 on 3dmark06 with 9800M gt in SLI...
I was hoping for more -
So I m the testing phase for Crysis Warhead for my my youtube channel and I have to say I have mixed feelings. Lets start with DX10. Here the game gets higher maximum FPS but also lower minimum FPS. In Original Crysis at 1650x1050 with all high settings I get minimum 35fps an average of 45-50 and maximum of close to 60fps. Now with Crysis Warhead all on high I get much higer maximum of well over 60fps but also much lower minimum that can drop clost to the 30fps line. Now I ve also tested Warhead in DX9 and here is a shock. All settings to high at WSXGA I get an average of 60fps!!!! Average!!! when I turn 2xAA I get 45fps. Seeing Crysis at super smooth magical 60fps is amazing but then again there is a noticeable graphics decrease, so I m gonna try to tweak that DX10 settings.
-
are you game playing or running the benchmark software?
-
I ll run FRAPS in a sec though to have the ultimate proof
My NP9262 benchmark(with 9800M GTX in sli)....
