So lets take this discussion further :) I have 25oC to play with before hitting a ton.

I assume these babies can overvolt? Learn me! ;)

Oh well with nvidia is easy, i just need to dump the vbios and raise the 3d voltage. Max i can do is 1.03v, usually its used for 3dVision.

Anyway those benchies have been made without overvolt, that i just did btw, ive just rebooted.

With ati probably you could use RBE? Dunno thought, never had the pleasure.

but maybe, lets see...try to see if you can download Sapphire TriXX, it should be able to overvolt the card a bit.

currently ive ran a bit of skyrim with overvolted and benchmarks clocks, its indeed stable now at 750-1800, it wasnt before. Temps are getting higher thought, 87c.
althought in my opinion anything below 95c should be safe thought. Dunno how much i will keep this overvolted, since the gains will be good only for bemchmarking thought...

i feel the good times coming back :) im excited none the less :D

Definate good times feels great to be high end again haven't felt this since Jan 2010 when the 5870M was let out of its cage.

Sapphire is what I use at the moment and no can do with the Voltage, I will take a peek at RBE when I get a craving but think I will hold fire at the moment and enjoy skyrim :D

256bit is the way to go for sure. +1 when I can add it again for the Core Parking.

Unless he is flashing the VBios I would assume something like MSI Afterburner.
