I bought a new an np8130 about a month ago and the hard drive was dead. I'm in Puerto Rico so the warranty doesn't cover here and I would have had to pay for shipping. However, I talked to Justin here and he understood my situation and reimbursed me for my shipping costs and ALSO Xoticpc took full responsibility on the return shipping. Joseph was the one helping me (from Xoticpc) and he was great too. I sent the hard drive and they shipped back a new one 6 days after I had sent it. All in all it was a good experience. Just writing this in case anyone else wants to know how their work.

Pros - GREAT service, they take responsibility for their products, understand your situations and try to do everything possible to help you.

Cons - Their RMA system is through email, when I first called they told me to send an email to them and they would handle it. However, if I had any questions it would sometimes take a day for me to get an answer.

Thank you Justin, Joseph L. and Xoticpc! Good job! :D

That's great news, glad to hear everything is in order. Most companies who do RMA/warranty issues deal through email is so there's a paper trail. Phone conversations (if anything goes wrong) is more of a he said she said deal.

My new Sager 8130 from xoticpc is due to arrive today. This puts me at ease if I should experience any problems.

My RMA experience with xoticpc was not as good as you guys. I bought an ASUS G53jw and the port to battery was broken after a little over than a year, so I sent it back to xoticpc. It takes 2 months (excluding shipping time) for me to receive the repaired laptop.

Apparently due to the customization of the laptop, xoticpc has to do some work before and after the repair at ASUS. I'm not sure how much time is spent at xoticpc and ASUS. So I asked xoticpc but they just ignored my question. I will have to assume that both of them are responsible for the 2-month delay.

All in all, I do believe that 2 months is too long to be reasonable, especially for a small problem such as the battery port. I strongly recommend not to try an ASUS laptop with xoticpc anymore. It just takes too much turnaround time for repairs (and the quality of the ASUS laptop does not seem too good either)!
