Excellent configuration! If you dont use blue tooth at all consider the Killer 1103 wireless card as its the best for gaming. If you do, keep it all as is.

I am looking to get a similar set up, but I'm still really uncertain if I should be springing that kind of money for the screen upgrade, especially if I can't get the color calibration since I already have a copy of Windows and don't want to order another.

You typically don't need to order Windows if you want the calibration. It will be calibrated for you and the file will be sent along on a CD with the unit.

Well I dont use Bluetooth much but I also don't have high speed Internet so won't be doing online gaming, I was just hoping the intel upgrade might give slightly better wifi signal?
Also not sure if I'll get 90% gamut gloss apparently someone here says not many aPplications can utilize it anyway inc windows so seems like a pointless upgrade?

You definitely get a better signal with the card upgrades. The Intel 6300 can offer a huge improvement in range over the stock or 2x2 antenna cards. I'd suggest the 6300 if range is important to you, as it bests all the others by quite a bit.

I'm not sure what you mean by "utilizing" the screen upgrade. Everything you run on it will have better colors and saturation than on a 60% screen, for example. It's just that for most things, better color just doesn't matter. Photography and video are places where it's important. For most people though, the fact that it makes all of their content that much better looking is worth it.

That is false. The colors are a property of the screen. Everything you do with the screen will utilize its color qualities.

If you can afford it, buy it.

The 6300 it is then thanks. And from what I've been reading about the wide gamut screens , it's seems they are really only truly beneficial to specialists like photographers etc to get true colors in photoshop etc. and that standard programs will display wrong colors which some people prefer which are more vivid but personally I think I'll go with a standard screen and keep the 200 for something to celebrate with.

Is it fairly easy to switch out the wireless cards for a different one?

Money is not really a big drama as you can see I opted for the 6300 for speed and possible range difference..

I'd really suggest you go for Bigfoot killer 1103, even its predecessor 1102 did a better job vs Intel 6300 on handling the UDP (some games use this feature) package and has lower latency than the Intel 6300. Please read this up.

I read about some dramas with bigfoot cards which is why I chose to go with the intel, and anyway the Internet in the area I'm living in now is rather average anyway.
