So my keyboard has started lifting up in the top right hand corner (as in the keys are coming up slightly and and are no longer flush with the inset for them. I remember that someone else had this problem, and that a solution was available, but I couldn't find it after a search. Could someone let me know if there's a fix? Thanks.

It seems that the occasional notebook comes with the keyboard not fully locked into place. There should be a small metal (I think it's metal) hinge near where the keyboard is lifting off. Push that down gently until it snaps into place. Just seems to be a hasty assembly.

I'd suggest you try the following:

    1) Try to snap the keyboard into place. Like Tarentum said, there should be some kind of metal hinge for you to snap the keyboard back into its rightful place.

    2) The other approach is to check with the manufacturer if they replace the keyboard under these conditions. It is quite unacceptable that the keyboard starts lifting out of its place.

I would try reseating it, but I would ALSO call up and let the company know you are having a problem with it.

Spoken like a true Mythbusters fan. I like it. :D

@ the OP, I will have to essentially echo what danny2001 and gary_hendricks have already said. Credit to you guys. Try to reset the keyboard yourself, but let the company know about it. And if you can't fix it yourself, then send it back.

shouldnt it be a good thing when keyboards are easily removable?
i'd hate to read a manual for revoming keyboard just to clean out some dust.

Haha would that also mean it'd be a good thing if your laptop opened up easily?
