I just have to say that despite what i have read, the Sager 2090 is a GREAT machine. In fact i can play Supreme Commander pretty much flawlessly, along with Command and Counqer: Tiberium Wars, CS: Source, WoW, WC3, FEAR, etc.

I see a lot of people complaining about buttons not being supported, driver issues, game lag, etc. Honestly, i have not experienced ANY of these problems.

    I LOVE this notebook.

Most of these problems are vista related, and if you havent heard Microsoft has already announced a replacement for Vista in 2009 called "Vienna." It will support virtual PC accounts as well as a completely new file structure.

Anyways, ill post some pics when i get home.

Thanks to the people here who recommended this model, and for the folks at discountlaptops.com (ask for Mia, shes awesome), and also schtickers.com for an awesome print of my render :)

thats good to hear, i'm actually pretty satisfied with my NP2090. I'm glad i got this over the Inspiron 1520. it's a pretty rock solid notebook (of course i won't know for sure until another few years. we'll see how well it holds up). i initially went through minor driver problems (mostly with fingerprint reader) but i know after a week of official ownership, it will all eventally sort out.

at first i wanted to install XP Pro myself but after getting the BSOD from lack of SATA drivers, i decide to go with Vista to avoid slipstreaming/USB floppy/downloading a copy with SP2. I haven't been getting any major problems (other than a rare BSOD during boot up which I have to diagnose). Vista 32bit is a lot more compatible than the 64bit version for now so no problems here. even if Vienna is a solution, it won't be here until 2010 the earliest!

Well, that's due to self-selection. People who are happy with their laptop do not tend to rush to the forums just to say everything's peachy. On the other hand, if someone has a problem, they are going to be very vocal about it.

I think it is optimism to hope that it comes out at 2010, infact I hope it doesn't come out till 2011. I want the lifespan of Vista to be long, and I don't want to have to upgrade so soon.

it can be quite confusing with all the codenames. Fiji is speculated to be a "service pack" update of some sort for the existing Windows Vista in 2008. The next version of Windows is now codenamed Windows 7 to replace Vienna and this will probably change again until a final name has been selected.
