    Just wondering ... What's the usual amount of time that it takes to get a laptop from Mythlogic? The time estimate on their website might be "average" but what's the standard deviation? (I've already exceeded the average as stated on their website.)

    3 weeks to a month give or take if I remember correctly. Mine was four years ago though.

    That's what the website states too, but it's already been a month and it's still in stage 2 (parts procurement). That's why I was asking ...

    I've asked them, both phone and email, but they have amusingly non-specific replies about getting parts, etc... (e.g. no notion of what part might be taking longer or how much longer it could be expected to take).

    I have ordered 2 machines and several parts from them over a year ago. At that time their turnaround time was consistent from a custom systems builder time.

    As of now, people are waiting 1-2 months and not getting their laptops at all. Check the resellers forum. There's a lot of issues going on over there.

    Yeah ... If I'd visited here before ordering I might have gone a different route, but at this point it's 1 month in, so I'd like to give them the chance to make good on it. (It's only a little past the estimated time range, so not something that seems like they're just not doing it, you know?)

    It also appears I put this thread in almost, but not quite, the right spot. :) Heh. Sorry about that.

    I'm sad to see the direction Mythlogic went. I'm writing this on a Mythlogic that has lasted for many years and am looking for a new notebook. I'd look back at Mythlogic but the stories have entirely scared me off.
