I don't know why you have such an axe to grind with Myth. If you don't feel that their slight premium is worth the cost, then you obviously have other options. Furthermore, why don't you quit trying to force your perspective of what is correct/not correct on everyone else.

Some of us look for more than just the absolute lowest price. Myth offers superlative customer service, a plethora of build options, and a great testing process that ensures the system will work 100% right out of the box. Plus, their cost includes Win 7, ICD and screen calibration for every system. Not to mention that they do more for the community than just sling parts, and that, coupled with them being decent guys, makes me want to support their business.

If that doesn't interest you, then move on. By blasting a company that did you no harm and insulting those that chose to purchase from them, you come off as being disgruntled because you couldn't afford the cost difference.

Read some of the reviews.. You'll have to decide for yourself, but it comes down to what's important to you. Theyre at the top of the customer service pyramid, they'll do what ever customizations you can think of, they manage their own drivers, etc.

I'm not sure if it's been mentioned but Sager is having a back to school $150 off sale also.

I think whatever discount you can get, should be happy with. The profit margin these Clevo builders are working with don't seem to be very high to me.

I didn't buy a Mythlogic, but I think it's a great alternative for people as they are the only laptop providers of their type I know of in the US. If that's what you want, for me it wasn't, since I did the upgrades myself and just wanted the shell, MB, screen, CPU and GPU, so I just went for cheapest price possible

The difference is reseller vs builder. If you buy an HP from BoB's puter store, and a usual Sager reseller, they are one in the same. However Mythlogic is more like HP, they actually build the system from the parts.

There is no right or wrong answer on which to buy from, every reseller has their strengths, and it is all about what you personally want. From the feedback thread it doesn't take long to get a good feel for the resellers CS, and watch the threads here they participate in.

I personally have made the choice my next lappy will be a Clevo, and a build by Mythlogic. That is no way a reflection on other resellers or their staff here. It is a refection on what I personally want, like, and appreciate. This was after months of MSI/ASUS/SAMSUNG/ALIENWARE/CLEVO/ORIGIN research, I have owned ASUS, own MSI and respect the others. But it was Clevo who I decide on as my next system.

It wasn't easy, QRIGIN, MSI and ASUS were kicked quick though, and Sammy never came with the 120Hz 7970 as advertised yet, so it was AW vs Clevo. I just cannot stand being 40+ and having a spaceship lappy, its a personal thing, nothing more nothing less. So Clevo gets the win.

Choosing resellers was really hard, Mythlogic, Reflex, XoticPC were all high on list. But to me, I want the builder to also be my seller. I have not bought a prebuilt desktop since my first 486dx33, and I know the care and attention to detail I put into my systems. So I felt Mythlogic could give me that, and they have better options on their builds, to suit me, again a personal thing.

In the end, you would be happy with a Sager/Clevo from any one of the many awesome resellers here. Make an informed choice, do not take just my or any one person's word, read, research and then make an informed choice based on your own needs, desires and wants.

Price is but one factor, although I am not Donald Trump, if I am spending north of 3k, a few hundred dollars is not going to break any deal. That's a lot of money for me, and I assume most of us here. So like me, my advice is to do your homework, research and develop your choice based on it.

    Good luck and good hunting.

This is a bit skewed view. Sager does not order laptops pre-assembled customized from Clevo. Sager has to have them built, and they are assembled and built in California. My notebook was shipped from CA directly from Sager.

Buying from a Sager reseller just means I have a middle man in between all transactions, from ordering, payment to support. But the notebook is still built custom. With Mythlogic, smaller crew and you probably can find out which tech built yours whereas with Sager, doubt find that out, more personal experience I suppose.

But I think people keep forgetting, Sager are laptop builders also. So is Eurocomm.

The difference is, do you want the lowest price possible and just do the upgrades yourself, or do you want a Mythlogic tech and their reputation doing the upgrades for you? I went with the former, even two of the parts I have aren't offered by Mythlogic. And XoticPC, LPC and PowerNotebooks will offer great prices for when you want to upgrade, that's not special to Mythlogic.

But considering the very personal customer support, their trusted techs doing the work, I think the price Mythlogic asks for is still a phenomenal deal.

Your right, and better analogy would have been buying Mythlogic is akin to buying Sager direct.

Does Mythlogic apply any branding to their notebooks? Some notebooks featured on their Facebook page have logos and such, but others don't, and there's no configuration option to omit it like on some reseller's sites.

It's not a big deal either way. I'm just curious.

Mythlogic is customized all the way. Whatever you want, I'm sure they will do their best to have your notebook exactly the way you want it, as long as it works in a Clevo shell.

Don't worry about posting here, contact Mythlogic yourself and inquire them directly.

They do apply a small Mythlogic branding where you normally would find the Sager name branding on the laptop.
