I have this system narrowed down as to the main one I am looking at and the only changes to the base system I will be adding are the 980m & the Samsung Evo 500 gb SSD to the build. I do like the fact that Mythlogic does a lot more in depth testing before hand to ensure the laptop I get is in working condition.

My question is how is Mythlogic on the post sale side of things if I were to have an issue? There are not a lot of recent reviews/feedback on Mythlogic vs. the big Sager resellers and want to make sure I won't have problems before I spend a lot of money.

The cost between this and a similar Sager 8652 is almost identical through a reseller.

From my own experience they are one of the best out there when it comes to after sale support and going out of their way to fulfill custom requests.

You forgot the main thing and I can't believe you did that: Prema Mod can be flashed and it will not void warranty!

Thanks for the advice guys, defiantly going to go Mythlogic.

Last question; should I get the Intel 7265 or the Killer 1525 network card? Currently I am using the Uverse NVG589 router which only operates in 2.4ghz.

Prema mod can be flashed on all vendor system's warranty's as far as I know without voiding warranties but if you do decide to flash and the flash doesn't work and bricks your system then you can't get your system replaced because that isn't covered but if you want to take the chance of flashing prema mods and you do it correctly then you should have no problems and you will still have your warranties in tack

I just received the laptop from Mythlogic and everything so far is good.

My only question is I ran hwinfo and on the panel it says I have is the LG LP156WF SLB5 with a manufacture date of 2011. Is this correct? I checked panellook and it is a discontinued panel. Just want to make sure I got the correct one.

That does look to be an IPS screen, was that your concern?

Mythlogic is pretty great. Here's my review

BLUF (Bottom Line Up Front): Their communication post sales is poor, and it takes a long time to get the computer out to you. But they are top notch when it comes to customizability and do an excellent job building the lapstops. I would definitely order from them again.[/URL]

My question is if this is the current LG panel that most are getting as it looks to be an older model from several years ago.

It WILL void warranty from Mythlogic and all Prema's partner shops (as he posted before me).
That is the correct panel. The really good panels are all discontinued, and most of the new ones are just decent IPS panels or decent TN panels. All the high-gamut, nice-contrast, high-refresh panels were created and discontinued due to lack of demand ages ago. Now that people want good panels, none are around unless you get an old one.

That's not entirely accurate, each shop handles it different...
Anyway Partner Shops get new Prema Mods weeks in advance, so there is really no need to downgrade to an older public BIOS Mod... ;)

Also you will get plenty of options out of the box anyway, why risk your warranty, you should be flashing to only fix an issue.

Ah, I was unaware. I know Mythlogic said flashing it voids my whole system warranty whether or not it works properly though.

That being said, is it possible to say... ask them to provide me a version of your BIOS that say... allows for 980M upgrading etc? Do you do things like that? Or would I need to use your regular BIOS from your website?

Yes, they for example offer GTX9 upgrade kits for EM systems with vBIOS and BIOS.
You just have to purchase the upgrade hardware from them and they supply you with what you need.
