benchmarks 1.jpg just received a p150em from myth.

    3720QM
    16GB 1600mhz samsung ram
    512gb crucial m4
    680m
    win 7 pro

I ordered it with a steelseries keyboard but im surprised that Myth didnt remap the keys...instead they provided a sheet to show which keys do what. Very disappointing.

Now myth also do like 50 benchmarks on the system including the usual suspects (furmark, vantage, pcmark etc as well BF3 and AvP)

Here's some scores, does it look normal?

    View attachment 82544

highest FPS on BF3 was 60 and highest temp was 74.3c on the 680m

    here's some more pics

In that case, did the community figure out a way to map the keys so they behave as labeled? I remember there were some complications.

If not, I'm probably going to contact Mythlogic and swap out the keyboard upgrade for something else. Having mislabeled keys would drive me nuts.

I too was a little annoyed by the mislabeled keyboard, but tbh, you'll learn where everything is pretty quickly. It's better to stick with the steelseries IMHO.

    Hi

I'm seriously considering if I should get this laptop as I will be starting uni soon and need a laptop that can run games and still look neutral. I've been trying to find out how the battery life is on these things with the new ivy bridge etc, since I can only find out how it is with sandy bridge.

Congrats on a new laptop btw!

ok well that didnt last long.

my system froze on installing CoD MW3 and now won't load windows.

It keeps getting stuck on "Starting Windows" screen, though the logo glows.

System Restore cant seem to fix the startup file or do a System Restore because it asks for a username and password? It keeps saying login a local user to do a system restore and then asks for a username and password.

Any idea what I should do?

    oh nooo!
did you set up a password for windows or the finger enrolment software.

try F8 on bootup to go into safe mode.
if you got your operating system disk install it and run it from bootup and click on repair and see if that helps.

just thought of something that i remember a few had problems with.
on mw3 did you ever have a white box popup saying setting or something like that had changed and would you like to start in safe mode. if you clicked yes then that could be your problem.

Just type in your username of your windows login and the password if any.
Also you can tap F11 at the boot screen to get to our recovery partition, where if you did have the OS installed by us then we have a backup image right there too if the other ideas don't work. But try safemode first of course :)
